  1. Hmm… Has the Prez or his “advisors”/handlers NOT played Civ3? I should think not, because they would then know that in the modern ages, one must switch their government to Communism in order to wage war over long periods of time. Democracy and Republicanism both suffer war weariness in the population. Which, of course, can be mitigated for a short period of time, but eventually gets to the point where the citizens just give up – no more money can be thrown into Police Stations, no one will trade Luxury goods with you, another country builds the Women’s Sufferage monument, and all the other countries take notice of your belligerance, etc. Of course, Corruption goes up, too, but stays pretty constant (you know, it becomes a managable business risk factor…), but Rush Building costs citizen lives…

    Oh. Civ3 is not life? Dang…
