A movie marathon. An Oscar-night party. The Big Game. A weekly BSG viewing party. Sometimes you want to get together with friends and watch something fun. Usually there’s that one friend with the home theater system (or HD cable, or, well, a TV…) that ends up hosting. What if there was a local spot with the most awesome “home theater” possible?
The neighborhood movie lounge could be that place. Like a divestment club, it’s neither fully public nor totally private; parties/viewings could be scheduled by members, with other members or their guests attending. The lounges would be more like greatrooms than movie theaters, with wetbars or small kitchens, comfy couches, fluffy armchairs, and a lot more social interaction.
