I’m having entirely too much fun uploading my meeting doodles to Flickr. Sometimes it’s refreshing to do something of absolutely no consequence.

Next up: color drawings, thanks to some colored pencils Jesse gave me. (OK, he actually gave them to Ben, but I’ve appropriated them in the name of meeting sanity.)

Mr. Fusion, Meet Ejeep

Seems like we’re getting back to the future in style.

The Climate Friendly Cities is a project of the Green Renewable Independent Power Producers (GRIPP), a local non-government organization. In the Ecopolis episode, GRIPP Chairperson Athena Ballesteros explained that she envisioned GRIPP to address the pollution and noise problems that come with the 250,000 or so diesel-fed jeepneys clogging Philippine streets.

The project’s first component involves the use of electric-powered jeepneys � or eJeepneys. Their diesel engines cause traditional jeepneys to emit a lot of noise and smoke. In contrast, eJeepneys run on electric motors and emit barely any noise and no smoke at all. The project’s second component involves the installation of bio-digesters coupled to gas engines � essentially power plants that would convert organic trash to energy, producing electricity to run homes, offices, and, of course, the eJeepneys. The project’s third major component is a piece of land that will serve as the garage, maintenance area and charging station of the eJeepneys.

Since I know y’all are just waiting breathlessly for updates on our new Electric ATV or ATEV from Barefoot Motors, here’s a recent article on Wired: Behold the Tesla of All-Terrain Vehicles.

Our vehicle is supposedly going to be ready in March. Y’all can start making travel plans to come test drive it; I’m starting the sign-up list now.

Ok, this makes my pagan heart happy: my friend Raven has opened a new store in Madison, WI called Ravenworks. It features lots of pretty, pretty, shiny and happy one-of-a-kind, hand made things for everyday use, ritual, whatever. Also, books and music — including Legacy!.

Just a note to brag that the November 2007 issue of the British Interplanetary Society’s magazine Spaceflight: The Magazine of Astronautics and Outer Space features an article called “Grumman’s ambitious spider” about how Grumman tried to modify the Lunar Module to give it more flexibility and utility. The authors of this interesting article (which features cool illustrations) are Dwayne A. Day and some other guy named Glen Swanson. That second name sounds familiar…darn…can’t think of who he is.
