I’m having entirely too much fun uploading my meeting doodles to Flickr. Sometimes it’s refreshing to do something of absolutely no consequence.

Next up: color drawings, thanks to some colored pencils Jesse gave me. (OK, he actually gave them to Ben, but I’ve appropriated them in the name of meeting sanity.)

on keywords and importance

I’ve been looking for a few choice keywords to describe what we talk about here at Global Spin. You know, “science, culture, politics, writing, foolishness” kind of thing. One of the places I checked was Compete, which offered the oddest suggestion yet: “important punctuation.”

So, yeah. I just had to Google it. There on page 2 was an old article on the importance of punctuation. The link was bad and it needed an update, but there it is. Science, culture, politics, writing, foolishness, and punctuation.

March 10th, 2008 is the first ~~National~~International Day of Awesomeness. I’ll let the awesome official site speak for itself:

What is The International Day of Awesomeness?

The International Day of Awesomeness is a celebration of awesomeness. People are awesome every day, frequently don’t realize it, and their feats of awesomeness are rarely recognized. We aim to fix that, with a special day to both perform and celebrate feats of awesomeness!

It’s the brainchild of Kevin Lawver, who knows a thing or two about awesomeness himself. So, what feats of awesomeness will you perform? You have a few months to decide.
