Wealth is in the Eye of the Beholder
This website might put your financial problems into a bit of perspective -- until you realize you need to take into account the cost of living. But, regardless, it's fairly impressive.

Indeed. It's interesting both from the specific case and also what it tells us about our society's emphasis on dollar wealth. For instance, $200 a month barely gets you a meal a day in Southern California, but it still qualifies for a spot in the top 15% of earners worldwide. Makes me wonder if there's a better gauge of true wealth than USD per year.
