Are you a Bright?
I guess I am, although I'm not sure about that word. Here's Richard Dawkins' take on the matter from Wired.

Of course, he's usurping your role, Deana. Where will the religious creatives fit in all this?
Posted by: Chris at October 1, 2003 01:17 PMThe term "bright" only refers to "atheists, agnostics, freethinkers, philosophical naturalists, secularists, or humanists". Basically those people who find little evidence for a belief in God, or don't think the question merits much examination. Religious creatives are on the other end of the scale - they believe all religions are true. Most brights think that all religions are silly, or at least not the only source of morality and values.
Posted by: Deana at October 1, 2003 01:58 PMI'm with the brights on this one.
Posted by: Jaime at October 1, 2003 02:07 PMSo, to extend my analogy, religious creatives would check "all of the above"? :)
Posted by: Chris at October 3, 2003 01:25 PMJust so you hear the official definition (I got this page from googling "bright blog"), "A bright's worldview is free of
supernatural and mystical elements."
Hmmm. Maybe.
If a bright is someone who checks "none of the above" on the religion form, then I'm one.
