XCOR tests new rocket engine
Wow! It must be the week of X Prize related announcements. The latest is from XCOR, which successfully tested their new XR-4K5 engine on Monday. It's just one stage in their plan to go suborbital and win the prize.

used to be the space geeks out in the mojave all worked for NASA or JPL (think Goldstone, etc.), like my Dad. He used to live for this kinda stuff.
I feel sorry for the poor, scorched vegetation, though!
