I can’t help but feel that they’re just afraid afraid afraid. This is space, with lots of danger in! We knew that! Do people still fly in airplanes or drive in cars after there is an accident? You just keep going. And the waste is terrible. Simple repairs avoided because it’s scary to send people up? The astronauts are willing! Oy. I’d hate for our space program to go up in smoke because people were too scared to continue. That doesn’t sound American to me at all.
